Cheeseburger Bobby’s coming to Knoxville

Cheeseburger Bobby’s to open 7 stores in Knoxville

Knoxville Daily Sun – Published November 21, 2015

KNOXVILLE – Cheeseburger Bobby’s is coming to Knoxville with its fast casual gourmet burger concept focused on juicy, made to order gourmet burgers, fresh cut fries, handspun milkshakes and a Build Your Own Burger Bar. Its first Knoxville restaurant will be located on the UT Strip. A lease will be signed within the next six months. Others areas targeted for the Knoxville area include Turkey Creek and North Knoxville. The franchise is targeting the Southeast for growth, planning to bring 45 additional restaurants to four states in the next five years, including 7 restaurants in Knoxville.

Cheeseburger Bobby’s currently has 10 locations open in Georgia and three more in development. Co-founder and president Bob Stoll and his team are actively seeking franchise partners.

“We’re looking forward to bringing to the region our unique and successful concept of allowing the customer to create their own masterpiece,” Stoll said. “We’re at an exciting point of franchising the brand and rolling out a new look that appeals to both existing and a new generation of guests. Finding the right people to introduce our build your own burger concept to their town is key. Having mastered the concept in Georgia, it’s time to share it throughout the Southeast.”

Cheeseburger Bobby’s has experienced double-digit sales increases in the last six years, with stores achieving a $1 million AUV.

Potential Cheeseburger Bobby’s franchisees don’t have to have a food background. A two-month training program is provided, but ideal franchisees must possess Cheeseburger Bobby’s core values:

• Leaders with a strong work ethic
• Current multi-unit franchisees who want to expand their portfolio with an additional concept
• Community-oriented entrepreneurs who want to give back to their communities

Giving back is important to Stoll, who rallies stores in raising money through custard sales every September for Murphy Harpst, a residential treatment center for abused and neglected children.

Mirroring the Cheeseburger Bobby’s concept has been the build your own pizza restaurants, which are experiencing tremendous popularity. Cheeseburger Bobby’s stands out as unique with made to order menu items, high quality ingredients and always fresh/never frozen toppings at the restaurant’s Build Your Own Burger bar, which is constantly kept stocked. Cheeseburger Bobby’s offers frozen custard, not ice cream or frozen yogurt, because its dense creaminess best complements the high quality burger. The service/guest experience also sets Cheeseburger Bobby’s apart with its 3-point customer service system.
