Cheeseburger Bobby’s, the fast casual gourmet burger concept focused on juicy, made to order gourmet burgers, fresh cut fries, handspun milkshakes and a Build Your Own Burger Bar, is targeting the Southeast for growth, planning to bring 65 additional restaurants to four states in the next five years.

Cheeseburger Bobby’s currently has 10 locations open in Georgia and three more in development with a prototype geared toward the newest wave of consumers who are more discerning than any other generation about where they eat – Millennials. The next Cheeseburger Bobby’s, slated to open by end of the year, will be in Augusta and will don the new look which includes elements of dark wood, black and stainless steel throughout the restaurant.

Targeted development markets in which co-founder and president Bob Stoll and his team are actively seeking franchise partners include 12 locations in Charlotte, NC, six in Chapel Hill, NC, four in Durham/ Raleigh, NC, 12 in Nashville, TN, seven in Knoxville, TN, and four in Augusta, GA.

“We’re looking forward to bringing to the region our unique and successful concept of allowing the customer to create their own masterpiece,” Stoll said. “We’re at an exciting point of franchising the brand and rolling out a new look that appeals to both existing and a new generation of guests. Finding the right people to introduce our build your own burger concept to their town is key. Having mastered the concept in Georgia, it’s time to share it throughout the Southeast. ”

Cheeseburger Bobby’s has experienced double-digit sales increases in the last six years, with stores achieving a $1 million AUV. The business model was developed with the utmost diligence and made sure to work seamlessly before franchising began. As a family restaurant, hours of operation are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, offering a balanced lifestyle for franchise owners and their staff.

Potential Cheeseburger Bobby’s franchisees don’t have to have a food background as Cheeseburger Bobby’s provides a two-month training program, but ideal franchisees must possess Cheeseburger Bobby’s core values:

  • Leaders with a strong work ethic

  • Current multi-unit franchisees who want to expand their portfolio with an additional concept

  • Community-oriented entrepreneurs who want to give back to their communities

Giving back is important to Stoll, who rallies stores in raising money through custard sales every September for Murphy Harpst, a residential treatment center for abused and neglected children.
